Over 44 million people from more than 150 different countries have walked up one of this ship's gangways to visit their floating book fair.This October, the Logos Hope -the world's largest floating library - arrives at the Colombo harbour. It will be in port from October 22 to November 9.
Note that the ship will not return to Sri Lanka for another 8 to 10 years, so do avail yourself of this opportunity. There are more than 5,000 titles available on board and you will get meet some of the 400 iInternational crew members from 55 different nationalities. The opening hours are:
Sun - Tues: 1 PM - 8 PM
Wed - Sat: 10 AM - 8 PM
Tickets are available at Chaithya Road, Colombo 1. After purchasing your ticket, there will be a shuttle bus to take you and bring you back from the Ship to Chaithya Road. The entrance fee is Rs 100 and seniors above 65 years old and children under 12 years old are eligible to enter free of charge, but children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
